The cycles of nature assure us that where there is creation, there is also the inevitability of loss. The grieving process is often marked by a sense of restless searching, further complicated by a heightened awareness of the transient nature of being. This becomes a Catch-22, as we doubt the very roots of what we seek. But such awareness also imbues life with a more precious texture due to the very nature of its impermanence.
My work explores this search and the dualistic nature of its results. We are up against the inevitability of things, and the futility of the quest. Yet, it is about being here. Now.
